Steppin' Out - Dennis & Brenda Smith

Steppin’ Out has been a wedding band, night club & restaurant band, corporate convention band, company christmas party band and an all around party variety band since the 1980's now based out of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Dennis and Brenda a two piece duet have been working together as full time professional musicians since the 1970's, working in several big groups before breaking off into Steppin' Out. They have worked extensively in and around Houston, Clear Lake and Galveston, Texas area. In 1987 they were offered the house band position at The Renaissance PineIsle Resort Hotel just outside of Atlanta Georgia on Lake Lanier Islands. They worked there for 17 years. On January 1st, 2005 they moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas to be close to their family.

Steppin’ Out, although just a two piece band, has the sound of a five or six piece group which is achieved by using backing sound tracks which are made in their state of the art recording studio SmithTrax Audio Video Services. Dennis plays drums live while Brenda plays keyboards live along with the sound tracks on stage. Dennis and Brenda both sing lead and background vocals. Steppin’ Out’s song repertoire is very versatile covering many music styles from Pop to Country music. They are able to adapt to almost any situation. They are constantly learning new and older songs to stay on top of what people are asking for. Whatever your occasion, they can work with you on any concept you may have.
